Hello and welcome to ValueSpeaks. I started this blog to share my financial knowledge and spur people to take necessary action to improve their personal finance and life.
My vision is to provide valuable content that will help you create the life you want and live more valuable lives.
I subscribe to the philosophy that money is a tool that can help you maximise your life depending on how it is utilised. Money can provide freedom, but your misuse of it can bring you tons of misery.
I am passionate about value, I believe in quality over quantity so the focus is not “how much money can I make” but “what do I want for my life” and how will money help me achieve it. If we all focus on providing value in our respective vocations, the world will be a better place. The amazing thing is if we focus on bringing solutions to problems (“Creating Value”), we are rewarded for it.
What do we do when we start getting rewarded for our value creation? how do we ensure that we increase our financial value and net worth? It starts with not spending it all so we that we can “Preserve value”. We preserve value by managing our spending.
Managing our spending in order to spend less than we earn, means that the money left can be put to work to earn more thereby Increasing your value.
This underpins a lot of my content. I will be sharing on avenues to create, preserve and increase our value. For more information about my thoughts on value, read the value series.
My enthusiasm for all things finance began while studying Economics for my first degree. I have a Masters’ degree in Finance and I am also a Chartered Management Accountant.
